If you’re looking to camp near the Burnt Corral area but want to avoid the crowds, this is the spot. A slightly more challenging approach keeps most RVs away, offering a quieter experience.
Several larger campsites can accommodate 3–4 rigs each, all perched above Apache Lake with outstanding views. While there’s no direct water access from this trail, the scenery more than makes up for it.
The trail and campsites are mostly hard-packed dirt with some rocks, but overall remain relatively flat and easy to navigate.
