Rattlesnake Alley BOH - Kansas Rocks Recreation Park

Turn down into the ravine. Just afterward, a short but steep and rocky descent splits two trees with roughly 1 foot or more of clearance on each side of the vehicle.

The trail steepens to 24° as you drop your tires over a series of small ledges, of which none are more than 1' tall.

You will reach Deliverance, a trail that this route follows. Make a hard driver-side turn just past the two trees you split.

The trail climbs a short steep pitch while following the signs for Rattlesnake Alley.

At the top of the short hill is the junction with Kinky Keith's Hill, which eventually joins back with this trail further along.

C2 starts here and is one-way only. C2 is a more challenging trail than what you have driven this far. Shortly after this intersection, an off-camber situation will be difficult in wet weather. Just past the off-camber section is a series of ruts.

Continue straight through the rocky terrain in front of you.

As you continue along the trail, the trail tightens and becomes rockier with basketball to pillow-sized rocks. The side trails in the area climb the ridge and eventually join with this trail on the other side of the loop.

The trail looks like it continues straight, but for environmental reasons, the park has the route taking an abrupt turn uphill. You will notice, not only here but elsewhere on the route, red circled emblems with a silver arrow pointing the way to follow the path. In this area also are two trails named Stomper and Too Late Nate.

Get the camera ready! The trail will fork, and the drop-in will flex your suspension for the perfect flexy shot that you can share on Instragram.

Out of nowhere, a 90° turn uphill appears. This may need to be a multi-point turn for longer vehicles.

The trail follows through a short maze of trees. Longer wheelbase vehicles may need a 2-point turn at this location. Just following the maze is a short but steep 28° pitch uphill.

An old barn stands with signs warning of venomous snakes inside and sits across from a covered picnic table. This is the ideal location for lunch and one of the most photographed spots within the park. Brandy's Daddy and Deliverance trailheads are in this immediate vicinity.

The route morphs into following West Autobahn. From here, the trail can be muddy at times.

Too Late Nate is one of the many side hill climbs you passed below on your way up to this point. Continue straight here, following West Autobahn to finish the trail.

This section of the route can be confusing. It is recommended to follow the track in the Trails Offroad app through this maze of connecting trails. This section is notoriously wet and muddy due to natural spring. The park has significantly progressed in drainage projects but plan and anticipate a sloppy mess year-round.

Continue following the main path. Liebers Ledges connects to C2.

Follow downward past the C2 exit and then uphill.

The most significant rock crawling will take place on this dog leg turn. You will be driving slightly uphill over a series of rocks ranging from a basketball to a small beanbag. Purely stock rigs could potentially scrape their undercarriage here.

Just past the t-intersection with Jared's Junk, you find "junk." Rumor has it that the old appliance or cabinet has sat there for a long time, and an unknown animal growls from within each time the Park has attempted to move it.

The trail ends on Main Trail. From here, you can consider running more trails or returning to the main staging area by turning left.
