Hidden down in a canyon, within a once-bustling mining district, is an old and forgotten homestead. The site appears to be quite old, over 100 years. There's an old log cabin and a small shed that are still standing. It appears there was once a large barn or possibly another cabin on the site. At the time of publication, there was no information found about the site. It's possible it was part of the first mining operations in the late 1800s. The site is along an easy trail and a short walk from where you can park. It makes a nice addition to the Goldstrike Mine
trail. The trail's name comes from the canyon near the cabin.
