Trail Information

Highlights

Reds Canyon Loop is an incredibly gorgeous trail in the south end of the San Rafael Swell in Central Utah. Starting at a high elevation, you can see the beautiful canyon that you will be descending into. Once in the canyon, you can see where the trail gets its name. Winding through the red cliffs, you will wish you could spend days down here. As you exit the trail to the north, you are treated with more spectacular views of the surrounding areas. This is an absolute must do in the Swell!

Incredibly beautiful Utah desert. Drove fine in a 2WD Sprinter van, though in rain I wouldn't want to be in the van out there.

I've done many trails and this one is easily one of the coolest. The views are amazing, the trail is in good shape, the camping opportunities are pretty good, and the feeling of driving down into a canyon and through a wash and then back out again was a ton of fun. I will definitely be back.

Beautiful trail. Could easily be done in any stock SUV/Crossover.

One of the most beautiful drives I've taken! A big storm blew through a couple days before I took it, it was still in good shape, just a few rocks that block the trail in some spots but no big deal. My stock 4x4 Toyota Sport 4door, long bed made it easily through with no problems. I was in such awe of the scenery I actually forgot to take pictures. I'll definitely be back for another go.

Beautiful trail, one of our favorites, and we never get tired of exploring it. Makes for a very enjoyable and relaxing day, bring a lunch; have a picnic and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
