Trail Information

Highlights

Off-roading Miller Hill is a well-spent day meandering through wildflowers and a rich forest of pine and aspen. The journey will lead you to some awe-inspiring overlooks of the Wasatch Mountains. Aside from the beauty, the trail itself is a relatively easy-going dirt path with some rocky patches and a few minor challenges to keep the ride entertaining for both driver and passenger. Situated in the American Fork Mining District, formed in July of 1870, the trail offers an abundance of mining history with a few remaining sites to be seen. Jacob and William Miller discovered rich ore deposits on what would become known as Miller Hill. The Miller Hill Mine stopped producing ore by 1874, started up again briefly the following year, and then shut down permanently.

Really fun trail. Beautiful this time of year. I'm not too familiar with trail ratings but I think point 5 might be more challenging than the pictures make it out to be. Not the most experienced off road driver but waypoint 5 is a little more washed out than what the guide has. Bumpy trail, pick your tire placement well and the views are worth it. Have a FJ with 3" lift and 33s and only scraped on point 5 on the way up due to poor line choice. Backdown was just fine.

Fun trail with rewarding views. Couple of rock clusters with one that may cause a problem for stock vehicles.

Fun side trail off from Mineral Basin, steady climb, one technical spot requiring good tire placement, may be tough on stock offroad vehicles and a few high rocks shortly after, but after that its pretty clear and easy trail with all sorts of views and landscapes. Take you up to Tyng Grave who has one of the coolest burial spots ever. Check out the video below to see some of what we saw for yourself!!
