Trail Information

Highlights

Sensory overload is how one might describe many off-road trails near Moab, and this one is no different. Tombstone Rock, an imposing red rock tower, is in almost constant view as you travel to an oddity in nature, Dellenbaugh Tunnel, a tunnel formed through sandstone that you can walk through. This is a short but an extremely fun four-wheel-drive trail with inspiring near and distant desert scenery to soak in.

Fun trail! Nothing really tricky. Paint markings helped with route finding. Several bypasses. The 'tunnel' at the end was a treat--little boys loved crawling on the rocks and walking through the cool tunnel.

This was a fun trail with a good mix of small challenges. There are optional or multiple lines on some of the larger obstacles on this route. Rating of 3 seems about right for this one.

We in on the East Alternate and departed on this road. Like the other, it's a fun combination of sandy wash and slickrock. There are some steps/ledges but these are easy to pick through. We enjoyed the Dellenbaugh Tunnel and the canyon view beyond it.

Combined this with trip to Secret Spire for a fun day.

I did this in addition to Secret Spire. Both are incredible sights, though the trail to Dellenbaugh tunnel was much more challenging and fun. It was an easy drive to Secret Spire, but definitely worth the trip. Did both trips in my stock 2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk.
