D2700 is a major portion of the emerging favorite route of many named "Lost World." It is named Lost World for a few good reasons, the first being that it lies within a remote part of the Moab area that is less traveled than others. Secondly, the terrain is more so "otherwordly," with petrified sand spires in the foreground and stunning buttes and high plains deserts in the background. The wheeling is memorable, with long stretches of red sandy road intermixed with a few fun slickrock-style obstacles, all of which can be handled by a high clearance stock 4x4.
