Green River Cutoff is your gateway to adventure in the San Rafael Swell. This route quickly travels to some of Utah's most beautiful scenery and free camping. The road is graded dirt and gravel with a few sections of heavy corduroy bumps. You will not need a four-wheel drive unless you drive off the trail. Offroad-type tires are needed; rocks and holes in the road will require durable tires. If you have high clearance and 4x4, you might like to take the side trip to the old Railroad sit and Chimney Rock. The camping was pretty limited along the route. Buckhorn Canyon offers the best campsites.
