This Cookie Policy explains how TOR Media Inc. dba Trails Offroad (“Trails Offroad”, “we”, “us”, and “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our Platform. This Cookie Policy is part of our Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms not defined in this Cookie Policy have the meanings set forth in the Privacy Policy.

Cookies, web beacons and other tracking mechanisms

We use tracking tools such as cookies, web beacons, scripts, and other similar tools (together “Cookies”) on the Platform for a variety of reasons. A Cookie is a piece of data contained in a very small text file that is stored in your browser or elsewhere on your hard drive. Cookies set by Trails Offroad within the Platform are called “first party cookies”. Cookies on the Platform set by parties other than Trails Offroad are called “third party cookies”. Third party Cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the Platform (e.g., navigation functionality and analytics).

Why do we use Cookies?

We use Cookies on our Platform for the following purposes:

  • Essential Cookies - We use essential Cookies to make our Platform work. These Cookies are strictly necessary to enable core functionality such as security, network management, your Cookie preferences, and accessibility.
  • Functional Cookies - These Cookies are used to enhance the performance and functionality of our Platform but are non-essential to their use. However, without these Cookies, certain aspects of our Platform will be unavailable such as authentication of login information.
  • Analytics and Customization Cookies - These Cookies collect information that is used to help us understand how our Platform is being used or how effective our marketing campaigns are, or to help us customize our Platform for you.
  • Advertising and Marketing Cookies - These Cookies collect information over time about your online activity on the Platform and other online services to make online advertisements more relevant to you. This is known as targeted advertising. They also perform functions like preventing the same ad from continuously reappearing and ensuring that ads are properly displayed for advertisers.
We describe below some of the tools we use on our Platform to collect information, including Personal Information for targeted advertising and analytics and the options those tools provide to you to limit the use of remarketing or analytics for those tools.
  • Google Analytics and Google Advertising Features. Google Analytics is a tool that places Cookies on your computer or mobile device and transmits certain information that we select about your use of our Platform to us. It also helps determine whether visitors have arrived at the Platform via Google marketing campaigns. Google allows you to opt out of Google Analytics by visiting https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. For more information, please visit Google’s privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. We have enabled and implemented the following Google advertising features: DoubleClick and Google Tag Manager. To prevent your information from being used by Google Analytics and its advertising features, follow the instructions to download and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for each web browser you use. Using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on will not prevent us from using other analytics tools and will not prevent data from being sent to the Platform itself or to Google. Opting out will not affect your use of the Platform.
  • Facebook Connect (and Meta Pixel). We use Facebook Connect by Meta to track and analyze users and advertise to our users through Facebook and Meta’s affiliated sites and to deliver targeted advertisements. For more information about Meta's privacy practices, please refer to their privacy policy, available at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policies/uso/. To opt out, please visit https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences.
  • First Promoter. First Promotor tracks usage for purposes of our affiliate program and referrals. For more information about First Promoter, please visit its privacy policy at: https://firstpromoter.com/privacy.
  • Post Hog. Post Hog helps us understand how visitors use the Platform. Post Hog will use information it collects on our behalf to evaluate your use of the Platform and compile reports on activity and data relating to use of the Platform.

Disabling Cookies

Most web browsers are set to accept Cookies by default. If you prefer, you can choose to disable Cookies on your browser, but doing so may prevent you from using the full features of the Platform. You cannot disable all Cookies, such as Cookies that are essential to the functioning of the Platform. You can learn how to opt out of some of those Cookies by accessing the Network Advertising Initiative’s Platform at http://optout.networkadvertising.org or the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Platform at http://optout.aboutads.info. For more information on mobile-specific opt-out choices, please visit http://www.networkadvertising.org/mobile-choices from your mobile device. Changing your settings with individual browsers or ad networks will not necessarily carry over to other browsers or ad networks. As a result, depending on the opt-outs you request, you may still see our ads.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Please therefore re-visit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
