Dome Plateau Section 1

Following the original Dome Plateau Loop, this first section is a moderate challenge tucked in the trees before crossing a scenic prairie landscape. The trail offers glimpses of the red sandstone buttes poking out between the trees and tall, blowing grass. While not a stand-alone trail, combined with the other three sections, it creates a challenging and incredibly scenic day on the trail. This route adds difficulty and is considered an alternate route to the popular Dome Plateau Overlook.
