At just 0.3 miles, it packs a rocky, technical climb into its first few hundred feet, opens into a burn-scarred meadow, and finishes with a loose, off-camber section before ending. Drivers exploring the Soapstone Basin roads may want to add it as a quick technical detour rather than a standalone destination.
The opening climb is rocky and uneven, with ledges and short, steep grades under a foot tall that require careful tire placement. Low range isn't required, but it helps through that section. Past the climb, the trail mellows into a rutted dirt track with loose rock through the meadow, before narrowing again for the off-camber finish, which is worth slowing down for when wet. Suitable camping is not present on the trail.
