Piuta Road is a scenic high-elevation two-track in the Uinta Mountains, approximately 2 miles one direction (4 miles out and back). The route follows a wide dirt-and-rocky path with gentle grades, with one moderately rutted section that includes an easy bypass for vehicles that want to avoid obstacles.
Mount Timpanogos dominates views to the south from the upper sections, along with vistas of Woodland and Jordanelle Reservoir. Multiple well-maintained camping areas provide open parking for multiple vehicles and are ideal for large camping groups. The trail terminates at a scenic turnaround that comfortably accommodates five or six vehicles, where all traffic must turn around.
