D3551 is a short crossover without any obstacles and is primarily used to access mountain bike trails. The trail has stretches of soft sand and rock ledges, 6-10" tall, that require extra ground clearance. The route shares sections with mountain bike trails, where they have the right of way. Please come to a complete stop and let them pass. Do not destroy the delicate vegetation by driving off-trail. No camping is found along the route.
