Also known as Dee Pass Road, D3012, is a historic tour of the area's booming uranium mining during the 1940's. Driven by the war effort, uranium was mined in the area, and numerous camps of various degrees were set up in this ruggedly dry landscape. D3012 is a short detour from Dee Pass, an excellent historic addition to a challenging 4x4 tour of the area. There are no large obstacles, but the trail has a tippy, off-camber dirt hill with large loose boulders. Durable tires, low-range 4x4, and high-clearance are required.
