Few places feel as remote as the Cedar Mountain area of the Last Chance Desert. As you zoom along the arrow straight northern section, approaching the expansive, rugged cliffs, you start to appreciate how far away from everything you are. Be prepared, bring extra fuel, food, and water. Camping is limited to a couple of spots. One is right along the trail, a big level square, likely an old drill platform, that now makes a convenient and scenic campsite. Next is a more intimate site with amazing views and protection from the winds. It's on a short spur trail and is easily accessible, with room for a couple of tents. The trail is hardpack dirt, semi-graded, and passable in 2WD.
