Mapping Crew - California
A native Californian that has extensively traveled the Pacific Southwest, and now retired from an Engineering career with much time to spend off road. I enjoy off road travel exploring, and camping. Because I have the luxury of spending my days as I want, I am most interested in traveling overland and camping in dispersed sites. One thing I like about TrialsOffroad is the vast information about trails I have not traveled, and, to be able to set up a base camp and visit the nearby published trails.
Thanks for the opportunity to be involved; I look forward to meeting many of you on the Trail.

3N16 - Holcomb Valley
Drove the entire route, first from 3N14 through Holcomb Valley to Baldwin Lake, and then back to 3N14. then later went down all the way past Green Valley Lake to Highway18. No problems alone the entire route.
3N14 - Coxey Road
Traveled all the way up from Apple Valley to Fawnskin. No problems.
The road was clear all the way. Took my 17' travel trailer up to Big Pines Flat Campground and stayed four nights. Weather was perfect, warm but not hot during the days, and cool at night with temperatures dipping down to the high 30's overnight. Campground will close on October 15, so, if you plan to go, go now.
SC103 - Dove Canyon
I drove Dove Springs Canyon SC103 toward the east, starting at Kelso Valley Road. The entire route was open, dry, and fun. Lots of sand and great views. No traffic; the entire Dove Springs area was void of campers and OHV vehicles on this Thursday afternoon.
