Hell's Revenge (09/23/2022)
Even with the bypasses, I still found it to be hard and not as enjoyable as Fins n' things. I guess it all comes down to vehicle, I could see how easy those with wranglers on 35s" could get up all the ledges but I did it in a stock WK2 Trailhawk taking the most mellow lines....usually. I skipped the main obstacles but did drive out to them to see them on foot. The Hell's gate/overlook had a rental side by side getting winched after tipping. The hot tubs are a lot bigger than you have seen on youtube, and WP14 (Dragon's tail) is spooky and I went right to check out the escalator after. What is glossed over in some guides is the difficulty of the exit (WP19). There are larger rocks and drop offs which are totally different from the rest of the trail (perhaps this is the revenge part). I didn't want to risk it so I turned around backtracked, and took the other route at (WP14) to head out the way I came in. In my opinion, the climbs are harder in reverse (WP5-1) and there is oncoming traffic to deal with. Am I happy that I did it? Yes. Am I going to do it again in this Jeep? Probably not! To my grand cherokee's credit, it did everything that I asked of it, required no winching and made it back home with just a little skid plate scraping.
Gemini Bridges (09/22/2022)
Only ran this to WP5 to camp at Bride Canyon. Gorgeous views and not hard at all. It is rocky like other reviewers have stated but I stayed in 2WD while pulling a small trailer up. I could see someone getting into trouble if they were not running an AT tire with all the rocks. Great intro to Moab if you are looking for an easy first trail.
Eye of the Whale (09/22/2022)
Just ran a little bit of it in reverse to see Eye of the Whale (WP6-5). Just before the Whale there is a steep climb that is getting pretty rutted out, open diffs will need a run if you are not flexible. I would really like to return someday and see the rest of it.
Willow Springs Road (09/22/2022)
Ran in reverse from guide. Great back way into Arches. I much rather be on a bouncy dirt road than stuck behind a motorhome on pavement.
Barbour Fork (09/11/2022)
Like other recent reviews have noted, trail has been graded essentially to WP6. Still an enjoyable trial. We turned around at WP 12 Due to time constraints. It is a bummer that all the early obstacles are gone!
Ophir Pass (08/27/2022)
Pretty easy trail as the guide suggests. Great views and little traffic on a saturday. Stayed in 2WD until the descent into Ophir. There is a hole forming at the switchback on WP 9 but nothing bad. A great trail to start on!
Moffat Tunnel Road (07/24/2022)
Nice views but just a well maintained dirt road. We checked out the east portal of the Moffat tunnel after coming down Mammoth gulch.
Baltimore Ridge (07/24/2022)
Nice little spur off of Mammoth Gulch. However, it is narrow and I would avoid if you are worried about pinstriping a wider rig.
Mammoth Gulch (07/24/2022)
Great views and an easy drive. This trail has definitely gotten rougher over the years with larger rocks showing in the middle of the road. Ran backwards from elk park to tolland.
Peak 10 (06/19/2022)
Pretty cool to drive where I have only skied before. The trail is closed at the WP8 gate. Very scenic.
Mad Creek (06/13/2022)
Neat trail for views and exploration. Checked out some camping spots near WP3
