I’m a guy with a terrible wanderlust issue. I’ve been exploring Arkansas back country both by vehicle, foot and canoe for 40 years plus. Ive been trying to take a yearly trip west to spend 2-3 weeks wandering the expansive back country areas of Utah and Co. I was also in extreme rock crawling for several years , here in Ar. and traveling to multiple states doing so, But I tired of the expense and missing the exploration , so I sold my crawlers, tow rig and am sticking with my trusted land-cruisers to do my backcountry wanders and camping trips. Arkansas is and will stay my home. I’m fortunate to live in a area so rich in natural beauty. I work hard to practice tread lightly and spend way to much time picking up other people’s trash on the trail and at campsites , as I’m sure most here do as well.

Thought I’d add this unique situation in, everyone has run this road, hurricane ford is the only issue and that’s only at really high levels, but on this trip the falls were frozen solid blocking the road, it made for a really neat photo opportunity

Pretty much as Brandon described but about 1/4 mile before the trail ends at the old deer camp there’s a mud hole that has gotten worse lately. There’s a bypass shown on the right in the pic that’s been cut recently but it was a tight fit for a Tacoma in our group that chose to take it . The waterfall was pretty dry on this trip but at good water is really nice
