Elk Park Road (12/25/2020)
The “mayor” of small town Apex has put up signs only allowing foot traffic through this trial. It doesn’t look like the forest service put up these signs, they are just leaning, propped up with some rocks. There is not an actual gate or obstacle obstructing through traffic but to be on the safe side we did not travel the trail. This has not been the case in previous years. Not sure if this is just a seasonal closure, but at this time no motor vehicles are allowed.
Yankee Hill to Central City (12/25/2020)
Biased on recent reviews I had low expectations but we made it all the way through no problem. There was tracks all the way through. Snow depth varies from 6”-18”. Traveled from Central City to Alice. FJ on 35s 15psi.
Utah Hill (12/25/2020)
This trail has a good amount of snow, 4-5’ drifts of packed snow. We made it about 50 yards before we decided to call it. If you want to spend the whole day trying it I am sure you could do it. Say hello to Bradley.
Metberry Gulch (11/30/2020)
Did the trail with my lifted FJ on 35s 10psi. Most of the trail has some snow especially in the shady spots but it was much easier than I remembered. Earlier this summer some spots were very dug out, they are now filled in due to erosion. I think it’s very doable with a stock 4wd.
