Crown King Road (06/04/2022)
We took the Road to Crown King from East to West entering off Bumblebee and the I-17. The trail was washboard so airing down a bit probably a good idea. Saw some wild horses in Bumblebee. Totally unexpected for us was the town of CLEATOR, what a great place with a general store and a bar.. Go in the General store and the shop keeper gives you the history of the oldest building in AZ and make sure you join the YACT club! The elevation climb from Cleator to Crown King was awesome with several switchbacks and one lane roads.. At the top of the mountain is a walks trailhead that goes straight back down.. We chose to keep going.. Overall Great 2 hours...
Senator Highway (06/04/2022)
Took Senator Highway from South starting in Crown King to Prescot after finishing the road to Crown King trail from Bumblebee. Had a great meal at the saloon and J-Mike was a great bar tender working weekends there. The trail is little bumpy heading out and expect several temperature changes and you climb up the switchbacks and then down into the cooler valleys with all the pines. The trail took the entire 3.5 hours with a couple of stops for pics. Ended in Prescott at the Beer and Taco tasting party! Who knew! Great time, great easy trail. Looking forward to the trail in the winter where the streams and switchbacks will be more challenging!
Bulldog Canyon FR 1356 (05/14/2022)
Entered Bulldog 1356 from the south and traveled north to way pint 1. The trail was more difficult than a "2" but a lot of fun. I would rate it a 3. Used stock Rubicon 4Xe and ran electric the entire trail.. Beautiful, quiet and no one else on the trail on a Saturday.. Great views, Great time and about 2 hours of fun! Picked up about 10 pounds of trash along the way..
