(within last 6 months) Sadly it was closed where it becomes difficult but the drive was still amazing and is an awesome experience. It’s not a long drive so if you’re already in fish creek it’s definitely worth the time.
As of when I went up there the trail does not have a one way sign. I went up the Diablo drop off. It was heavily rutted but was easy to do with a rear locker. It was clear of other people late in the day but when I went back down that next morning there were definitely crowds if you’re not a fan of that I would go late in the day. It’s a good challenge getting up if you’re unfamiliar with getting up hills like that.
Great trail. There are countless routes to take and there were plenty of people to meet. It’s an easy trail to get some speed and some great views. There is a lot of washboard sections but it’s nice and open. If you are looking for places to camp there are plenty of options along the trail.
Awesome drive. Definitely not an off road trail but it’s a great place to explore and take a break from the trails. Highly recommend if you need to stop in Berrego Springs.
Super easy trail. Great hike as long as you have water. There’s a few trails you can access from this trail that a fun as well.
