Chicken Corners (11/03/2020)
Easy trail but amazing scenery the entire way, this one has been on the list for awhile and although it took me 2 days, glad to have bagged it. Check it out!
Hurrah Pass (10/20/2020)
Hurrah Pass is very easy and is awesome but that means lots of traffic. Still worth it and if you're going that far you might as well do Chicken Corners which is also very long so it's a big day. Stunning views pretty much the whole time and a bunch of great parking spots.
Crystal Lake (10/19/2020)
This is a cool trail that starts out with a few ruts and then ends at a fantastic view. The boulder section at the end is pretty fun, check it out.
South Salt Creek (10/13/2020)
A mellow trail with some cool stuff around. Doesn't have the insane views of other Buena Vista trails but i don't know, i had a good day. nice easy one with some buildings to explore and enough aspens to be cool in Fall.
Chihuahua Gulch (10/06/2020)
Chihuahua Gulch is awesome. Great mix of obstacles and scenery. The Fall colors looked great last weekend but the views here should be good any time of year.
Argentine Pass (09/15/2020)
Haven't been to Argentine in awhile and I don't know why. Such a great trail that's smooth most of the way and has a couple obstacles to keep it interesting. Definitely cool in all the wildfire smoke but obviously unfortunate.
Mammoth Gulch (08/30/2020)
A very easy trail, we went out there to test this XC70 my buddy built out of Baker Garage. Everything worked great, need a tougher trail haha. Mammoth Gulch is still cool and connects to a bunch of other stuff.
Jones Mountain/Ptarmigan Lake (08/23/2020)
This is a really cool trail. Only one small obstacle and the rest is just bumpy but the views are fantastic from the very start. This was a little further than I anticipated making for a long day and then it started raining so unfortunately we didn't make the hike to the lake. Next time!
The Bank (08/14/2020)
i took Shelf Road down, filmed The Bank then camped in Seep Springs. Great day, scattered clouds and once passed the campground i didn't see anyone else on the trail. it IS rocky but i still enjoy the driving and obviously great views.
Johnny Park Road (07/13/2020)
Only the 2nd time going here, the 1st time I ran it backwards with some snow. It was nice to do it the "right" way and go up all of the obstacles. Pretty fun trail, all of the harder stuff has bypasses. Totally dry and only saw 1 truck then 2 Jeeps.
Barbour Fork (07/04/2020)
A pleasant surprise to see the trail has gotten more technical but I was still fine. I don't remember there being that many flexy sections in the beginning but those are my favorite, all in all a great day. Totally dry except the puddle at the fork but it was only a few inches deep.
