Fairly easy trail to get to, directions are clear. The trail itself its enjoyable, can be VERY rocky at points with only a couple wash outs. On a sunday afternoon, vehicle traffic wasnt too bad, a lot of campers were packing up as we drove up and were gone by the time we headed back down. Anytime we came up to a vehicle, everyone knew who would pull off/who would pass and had many a pleasant exchange. The only issue came from hikers. There was heavy foot traffic from people parking on the main road and hiking up, some pretty oblivious to any vehicle traffic until we were almost ontop of them (something to watch for). Overall, very fun with a great ending

Trail was in good condition. A few wet spots and a tiny bit of running water. One downed tree that needs to be removed in order to make it the last .25 mile or so. Afterwords heading into Idaho springs for a beer is never a bad idea
