Bolam Pass (07/10/2021)
Quiet gem. Did this from the Purgatory side heading west in our full sized Tundra. Overall, bumpy, not very technical road leads to a beautiful verdant pass with plentiful camping and access to the CDT for hiking or biking. Definitely would not recommend a trailer (except a small off-road specific one maybe). Switchbacks combined with a few 8-9" steps warrant the 4low - high clearance tag. Outside that, lots of baby head sized rocks make for a slow drive - wear good shoes!
Cinnamon Pass (06/12/2021)
Great easy/moderate trail for a 3rd generation Tundra with a small lift. Nothing technical on the Lake City to Animas Forks run, just some squeezing by fellow off-roaders and a couple k turns on the tightest switchbacks. Easy access to beautiful alpine country and great truck camping.
