(within last 6 months) My wife and I had a good time on this trail. Driving a Tundra, some of the tighter turns were a little challenging. We bumped some rocks along the way, and I even knocked loose a clamp on my axel. A shorter wheel base vehicle will be just fine. The climbs are fun, especially the one leading into the sinkhole. I wish I would have taken a picture at that spot. I did have trouble with the gate, but a local helped me out once I showed my permit.
This trail certainly lived up to the hype. It’s a crowded spot, but there’s plenty of space for anyone to have a great run. The climbs and devil’s staircase were a challenge, but I was able to do them in a full-size. The views were incredible all along the road.
