Pearl Pass (07/27/2020)
This trail has the views. It has everything right now. The flowers are amazing. The rock gardens add a variety of challenges in lines to pick. The streams are phenomenal. The mud is not too bad but adds a little fun. This trail gets very narrow on the Crested Butte side with brush and shrubs. The boulder fields will bounce you around fairly bad but it adds a certain level of fun. I would say a 5-6 is accurate in my opinion.
Schofield Pass (07/24/2020)
Woah mama... this trail rules. It needs to be noted that pinstripping is guaranteed. I loved this trail. It is a little scary and it is narrow with little passing room. This is a must do. I hit my sliders in the rock slide area.
Devil's Canyon (07/20/2020)
I love this trail. Its just too damned fun. The trees get a bit narrow. I've ran this trail before but today I was the only person there. The trail does get a bit narrow but nothing a little polish can't handle. The branches are still soft. No issues in a lifted GX460. Super fun trail!!!
Loch Lomond (07/16/2020)
The upper gate is still closed.
Cascade Creek (06/29/2020)
This is a new favorite to visit wild flowers. The trail is fantastic. The obstacles are phenomenal fun. I think like others have said a 4 rating may not be adequate. I think a 5 is more appropriate. The water crossings are low enough to be safe about deep enough to make it up to the middle of a wheel at the most. I loved this trail.
Saxon Mountain (06/29/2020)
Nothing is particularly challenging about this trail. HOWEVER! What a rush with that cliff. It is scary near the rock slide section. Plenty of scars on rocks from people hitting them. It is narrow. Best to run on a weekday. We ran it starting from Cascade Creek. Beautiful views but narrow and bouncy. One obstacle was a bit challenging but nothing good tire placement couldn't handle.
Tincup Pass (06/13/2020)
This trail is beautiful. Nothing about it gets too hard until after treeline. It's absolutely beautiful though.
Pomeroy Lakes (06/12/2020)
The trail is open to the top and views are amazing. The trails a bit rocky and the only challenge is the wall which still isn't bad. My wife and I did have a good laugh at an Escalade who thought he could make it up. He left paint, his lip, some metal and pride behind.
