Rimrocker (07/24/2022)
Montrose to Moab: Three days, two nights. Dry as a bone and not a single other Overlander to be seen. Loved every dusty mile of it. Never too hard but the seclusion and remoteness kept our attention. Recommend staying overnight at the Buckeye Reservoir campsite. Again, not a soul there besides our two Jeeps.
Imogene Pass (07/21/2022)
Fantastic. With just enough of the "I'm about to die" factor to keep it interesting. The shelf roads out of Telluride are only difficult due to oncoming traffic--some of which shouldn't have been doing a trail this difficult in stock vehicles with all-season radials. This is really the most awe inspiring trail I've done to date with lots of bonus side areas to earn the Difficult rating.
Chicken Corners (07/21/2022)
The variety of terrain, driving options and stunning views made this an excellent trail. Getting there via Hurrah was a bit of a snoozer but Chicken Corners was great. There really aren't any "Chicken Corners" so don't get too excited about the hype. Take the time to rip around the sand traps, climb up/down the optional obstacles and enjoy a cold one at the turnaround spot where the view is fantastic.
The Catacomb Spur (07/21/2022)
Fun little out-and-back from the Catacombs trail. Even found some additional routes on slickrock areas. Obstacles 5 and 6 are potentially metal-benders so find the right lines.
