Trail Information

This is a short out and back offshoot trail from 1N09 City Creek trail that provides an enjoyable easy trail with some short hills, some of which were rutted during our visit. The trail follows the ridge about 0.6 miles to the end of the ridge where you get a great view of the San Bernardino mountains. The return to 1N09 takes you back down the fun trail and short hills that could bottom out a non lifted vehicle.

Very short trail. There is a huge washout in the middle of the climb that can cause you trouble if you miss. This trail is on a spine so watch out.

A very quick out and back from 1N09 Old City Creek Rd along a narrow, 1-lane ridge road. After the first few hundred yards there's a steep 25-degree incline with deep ruts on the left-hand side so good wheel placement and sufficient momentum is necessary. 4H or 4L recommended. After that the rest of the trail is relatively easy. Ends with expansive panoramic views of the surrounding SB mountains and valleys so well worth a quick detour if you have the time and wheels for it.

Just tried to take this trail. Disappointed to get there and see a big locked gate. Spoke with a hunter there who said it has been closed for some time (maybe a couple years) due to reckless behavior on it. There is an illegal entrance on the side, but it is pretty gnarly to get over the humps and requires running over the fence/gate. He also said it is pretty tight and *will* scratch up your rig.
