This off-road trail crosses a dead flat plateau of hard packed, grayish clay, with views of Factory Butte, the most recognizable feature in the immediate area. It is bordered by Capitol Reef to the west, the Henry Mountains to the south, San Rafael Swell to the north and the San Rafael Desert to the east. This road gives you access to the vast network of four-wheel drive routes within the Factory Butte OHV system, and can also be used to connect to Wild Horse Road, which takes you all the way to Goblin Valley on dirt. Interestingly, some scenes of Disney's "John Carter" was filmed in the area of Factory Butte.

Ran it in addition with Skyline View and Wild Horse Rd. The highlight of this trail is pretty much the bute itself, the stretch from Waypoint 2 to 3 being out of this world and the speed run from waypoint 1 to 2
Nothing much to say about the road but Factory Butte itself is intimidatingly cool and this road leads to some others in the area that also provide some amazing and unique views.
Must have been graded recently because it was smoother than UT-24. Ran it at about 50 mph very comfortably. Talked to a rancher looking for his lost cattle.
This road is really better off being connected with a few others in the area for full exploration. The scenery is moonlike and really interesting. I highly recommend the area, just know this road is just a small part of the exploration opportunities in the area.

Todd is an avid wheeler who loves to explore new trails whenever and wherever possible. They say necessity is the mother of all invention, which is true for Todd. His want and desire to find passable trails and new nooks and crannies of the Great American west to explore were his reasons behind starting Trails Offroad. On any given day, you can find Todd on an obscure 4x4 trail, curating Trails Offroad guides, or using his legs to hike to an alpine lake.
