Dee Bypass, D2999, is a lightly used, easy 1.5-mile two-track trail cutting across Desert Bighorn Sheep Lambing Grounds. The area is part of Utah's plan to establish and maintain a sustainable population of bighorn sheep by utilizing suitable habitats within the state to create and foster individual populations. The trail is a mix of rocks and soft sand, with a blanket of desert scrub brush providing limited cover for the grazing sheep. The trail has vast panoramic views of the rugged cliffs and the Book Cliffs far to the north. No established campsites were found along the route.
