Part of the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway, Clifton Road gains close to 500' in elevation when driving from north to south. The trail starts in a residential area with a very narrow paved road. When entering the fun part, you are quickly met with your first water crossing, where you drive up Clifton Creek for roughly 100 feet. The road will be a mix of rock, mud, and dirt. For almost the entire route, you will drive next to a creek and be treated to other rock and cliff formations. The very end and the steeper parts are muddy and eroded. Anticipate erosion gullies that will require careful tire placement coupled with proper knowledge of the limits of you and your vehicle. 4WD and high-clearance are highly recommended. The route is entirely on private land, and there is no camping. This track also includes a portion of Kendrick Road to lead you to Highway 460.
