Devil's Canyon (08/08/2020)
Fun little out and back loop with some amazing views along the way. Reminded me of why I love Colorado off-roading. Switchbacks going into the trailhead were a little washed out in some spots but picking the right lines and you will have no issues. I ran this in my 2019 4Runner TRD OffRoad with BFG KO2's and found that only 2-3 times I made slight contact with a small bolder/rock in the trail but it was probably caused by a line picked incorrectly on my part. I do have RCI skid plates under the bottom that really helped and made me feel a little better about the rocks. In the section where there are lots of trees, the trail can get pretty tight. Overall, it was an awesome little loop for sure. Went out that morning, ran the trail and then went back into Idaho Springs for a nice lunch.
Rampart Range Road (07/25/2020)
Such a diverse trail with many spurs that will cater to every offroad discipline out there. Lots of places to pull off along the way to get out and stretch your legs and enjoy time outside. The main roads can get washboard pretty bad during the latter part of the year due to all the traffic and usage but airing down your tires a little will help that out for sure.
Dakan Road (07/04/2020)
A great connector from Castle Rock to Rampart Range Road that I use all the time. There is a small little toilet area at the beginning that you can use before getting out. The road is used a lot by Side By Sides, ATV's and Dirt bikes, so watch for trail traffic for sure.
