2N56 Sheep Canyon lies entirely within the San Bernardino National Forest. At 2 miles long, this trail provides a shortcut over the Lower Lytle Creek Ridge and connects Lytle Creek Road and Swarthout Road. While short, there are still spots to enjoy the vistas of the surrounding area, especially from its 3800 feet crest. It is also the only road to be able to reach the western trailhead for 3N31Y Upper Lytle Creek Divide
The road is flat and well maintained and an excellent trail for novice off-roaders to get their wheels dirty. Your dog can also enjoy the trail when kept on a leash.
