Overview

This off-road trail is a visually stimulating treat. Starting just near Goblin Valley State Park and its famous hoodoos, it takes you through three distinct landscapes of the Little Wildhorse Canyon, Little Wild Horse Mesa, the San Rafael Swell, finally dropping you in the middle of the Clay Hills near Factory Butte just west of Capitol Reef National Park. Sandwiched between the more popular San Rafael and Moab off-road areas, this trail is lightly used and feels remote. On top of all the visual scenery, throw in fun washes to drive in and out of and a moderately difficult river crossing - you have yourself a fun day on the trail with this one.
